Route notes
- Most Slough pickups join the M4 at Junction 5 or 6, giving direct access onto the motorway without cutting through town first.
- The older route via the A4 through Colnbrook is slower and mostly used as a fallback when the M4 is blocked, since it runs straight through the village rather than around it.
- The Colnbrook bypass avoids the village centre bottleneck that builds up around the level crossing and high street shops, and drivers default to it whenever the M4 isn't the faster option.
- Terminal order matters on arrival: Terminal 5 is reached first off the perimeter road, Terminals 2 and 3 sit beyond the tunnel, and Terminal 4 is a separate spur, so confirming the terminal at booking avoids a last-minute detour.
