24-hour cover, including the awkward hours

Slough works round the clock. The trading estate's distribution and tech sites change shifts at six in the morning and eleven at night, times when a lot of firms have gone quiet. We run 24 hours, so those early-morning and late-night bookings are routine rather than a favour.

The station

Slough station handles both the Elizabeth line and the GWR mainline, so there's a constant churn of people arriving with luggage and no idea where the rank sits relative to the newer entrance. We treat it as a standing pickup point and know which side to wait on when the rank itself is full — which, most evenings from about 5pm, it is.

The one-way system

Miss the turn off Wellington Street and you can loop past the bus station again before you find the High Street. Visiting drivers lose five minutes there regularly; ours don't, because they drive it daily.

The edges that get missed

Langley to the east has its own station and a growing new-build estate off Trelawney Avenue. Cippenham sits closer to Burnham than to Slough centre for some of its streets. Britwell, on the western side, is a mostly residential estate where evening pickups are common once the last bus has gone. And Wexham Park Hospital, off Wexham Road on the northern edge, generates bookings at every hour — the quicker way in is via Wexham Road itself, not the A4 through the middle of town.
