The route

The way out of Maidenhead uses the A404(M), the short link road that connects the town to the M4, joining the motorway around Junction 8/9. Once on the M4 the drive to Heathrow is direct, with no need to come off before the airport turn-off unless there's an incident on the carriageway.

Where the time goes

Outside peak times the run is around 25 minutes, sometimes closer to 22. The A404(M) link road is the one point that can slow things down: if it's backed up at peak times, the whole journey runs longer. For an evening flight we build that into the pickup rather than assuming the best-case time.
